A review from one of our learners:

When I retired I became a trustee of a community group to get me out of the house and give me something to do. I was a secretary before I retired so when the position became vacant I wanted to give it a try but felt nervous as I had been out of work for over a year and thought I might be too old. Our chair suggested that I do this course before I made a decision. I was nervous as had never done online learning before. I had nothing to worry about! The course was easy to navigate, I could do it in my own time and not only did it refresh my knowledge around the skills needed, it also gave me a really good understanding of being a trustee (not just the secretary), what I was responsible for and what would be expected of me. I love my new role and will definitely do more courses in the future
